Another starting day has come and gone at the Asia Poker League Vietnam – Main Event. A total of 70 entered Day 1B taking place at Pro Poker Club. By the end of the scheduled fourteen rounds only 15 players had chips to bag with USA’s Daniel Perkins amassing the largest of 292,000.

This now puts Perkins slightly ahead of the Day 1A chip leader Nguyen Thi Hien Hoa for the top spot in Day 2. At Day 1B, Perkins claimed the lead halfway through then proceeded to rail Kjell Ove Dyb in a lucky two-outer. The 15 Day 1B survivors merge with the 14 Day 1A survivors into Day 2. These combined 29 players await the results of Day 1C and Day 1D before returning for Day 2 on Thursday, May 16. There are 134 entries so far.

The Deepstack event pulled in 83 entries for a prize pool of VND 563,570,000 (~US$ 24,200). It ran for two days. Winning it was Chun Kong Kwok to pocket the VND 181,750,000 first prize. This was Kwok’s first-ever known live tournament triumph.

Poker After Dark is back with two thrilling nights of action from the PokerGO Studio as Jennifer Tilly, Bill Perkins, and Antonio Esfandiari headline “Lucky Charms Week”. The action in this $100/$200 No Limit Hold’em game with a $200 big blind ante gets underway at 3:00 pm ET on Wednesday and Thursday this week!

Each of the two days of play, Esfandiari and Tilly will square off along with Super Bowl champ Evan Mathis, and David Silverman. On the first night, Doc Barry will join the fun along with Mike Shaheen and Randall Emmett while Bob Bounahra, Julie Yorn, and Bill Perkins will take their seats on Thursday night.

The game features a cast of characters that have been friends for many years and play against each other on a regular basis, so expect lots of banter, needling, and the potential for some crazy action given their history with each other!
